Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in Puy-de-Domme France on the 9th of August, 1976. She was the eldest among four kids. Her parents, who have a doctor for teeth and teacher in a school were supportive and encouraged by her passion for acting and theatre. Her initial dream of becoming a specialist in monkeys was eclipsed by her wish to pursue a degree in theater and drama. She rose to prominence as a child actress quickly and with huge popularity and success. Prior to beginning the acting profession, she was a participant in Jeunes Premiers a French talent search TV program sponsored by Canal+ in 1998. She also won The award for the Best Young Actress at her performance in the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Tautou was raised in an Catholic home and went to her church even though she attended school at The Institut Catholique de Paris. In addition to her acting career she also pursued a modeling career. Also, she is the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and often called The Chanel Muse. In addition to her acting work she also has an interest in photography. The actress recently showed some images during the Arles Film Festival under the name Superficial. Her photographs are largely about fame and celebrity. The exhibit also includes a collection of self portraits as well. Audrey Tautou became a star after her international fame was established with her first role in Amelie Poulain in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie has been undoubtedly a huge box office smash internationally and has been lauded at numerous award festivals around the globe. It's the largest French film in the history of French language to be made to be released in the US. After this film's success, Tautou appeared in a wide range of movies ranging including British dramas such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles, and then he moved into Hollywood with Ron Howard's direction of The Da Vinci Code, a Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
